Step by step: Oscar Pistorius’ account of how the events unfolded at his upscale Pretoria home on Valentine’s Day. (Dailymail)

Dear Oscar Pistorius, the story that you and your lawyers have made up is childish, to say the least. Apparently, the ancient and immortal Olympian Spirit of Beautiful, Great and True (του Ωραίου, του Μεγάλου και τ’ Αληθινού) does not abide in you.  It probably never did enter your heart.

Mr. Pistorius, you may have convinced many people of your “innocence”, especially your fans worldwide, but you have not convinced your own conscience, God’s seed in you, and you know it. However, it is with your unbridable conscience that you live day and night and you have to contend with. To have been granted bail on inadequate evidence, since you have hidden the truth, cannot deceive your conscience.
And unless your conscience absolves you of your guilt, inner peace will be an intangible dream for you. But, alas, without inner peace, all your international fame and riches won’t be able to provide you a happy and meaningful life. Please think seriously about it.

Would you like to live the rest of your life in a spiritual vacuum, moving around like a zombie, resorting to alcohol and drugs in a desperate effort to find relief? Separation of man from his inner spirit through sin is unbearable.

But there is a way out of the hell, which you have been trying to build up for yourself. In fact this is the only way out: telling publicly the whole truth and nothing but the truth, repenting wholeheartedly in sackcloth and ashes, and accepting with gratitude whatever the judge’s final verdict is going to be. Reeva’s life, which you have taken so violently, was far more precious in her Creator’s eyes than your physical freedom. Besides, permanent spiritual prison is much worse than temporary physical jail.

I hope you hear the voice of God, tell publicly the truth and sincerely repent.

However, even this will not be enough to comfort your soul. You will never forget the face of the girl whose life you cut short, nor the excruciating pain you caused to her family. Under these circumstances, you may humbly pray to God to guide you to a higher mission to pursue from now on. A mission that you could start even tomorrow and continue from prison. Pursuing a higher mission will keep you spiritually alive for the rest of your life and it will be a blessing to the world.

May Reeva Steenkamp’ s sacrifice not go in vain.

 PEACE!
